Wirth says that the issue regarding traffic in the county has nothing to do with his company. He too is not pleased with the traffic around Lake Tahoe. He says that traffic congestion has nothing to do with his resort and the planned expansion will have no negative effect on traffic according to his plan.
The leader of the League to Save Lake Tahoe, Jesse Patterson thinks that the proposed expansion along the lake will cause even more issues when it comes to traffic in the area. He also believes that the expansion is too big and will take up valuable space and prevent other businesses from expanding in the future along Lake Tahoe.
Wirth believes that these are both valid concerns and says that they can rest assured that the resort has the plan to help reduce traffic and introduce a more efficient mass transit program in the county. Patterson would like to see this plan in writing.
